Is MedReminder really free?

Yes. MedReminder is free forever under the Apache License 2.0. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase, and no "pro" tier.

Which Windows versions are supported?

Windows 10 22H2 and Windows 11, 64-bit. Older Windows versions are not supported.

Do I need a Microsoft account or internet connection?

No account. The internet is only needed for optional features such as email alerts and cloud-synced backup.

Where is my data stored?

On your PC only, in an encrypted SQLite database. Nothing is uploaded to a server we control, because we do not run one.

Can several people use one installation?

Yes. MedReminder supports multiple profiles, each with its own data and optional PIN.

How do I move to a new PC?

Enable automatic backup, point it to a folder you can copy (a USB drive or a cloud-synced folder), then restore it on the new PC.

Is the app a medical device?

No. MedReminder is a stock and schedule tracker. It does not calculate dosages or give therapy advice. Talk to your doctor for every medical decision.

What if Windows SmartScreen blocks the download?

See the "SmartScreen" section above for a two-click walkthrough. The release files are built in public on GitHub Actions, so you can verify what runs.

How do I report a bug or ask for a feature?

Open an issue on the GitHub repository linked in the footer. That is the only support channel.

How can I support development?
